Nomination
In 2000 characters or less (including spaces), please tell us why the mentor should receive this award.
It is awarded to an individual ASA member who has demonstrated excellence in the mentoring of students and early career researchers. Aspects to consider (based on previous successful applications):
- Number of students/ECRs supervised and mentored
- Description of their supervision/mentoring style
- Examples of how they have fostered growth in their mentee/students or supported ECRs more broadly
- Their respect and support for mentees
- Impact of supervision (e.g., what students have gone on to do, changes to policy, personal impacts on students)
- Contributions over and above those expected of a PhD supervisor
- Their broader contribution to the promotion of students and early career researchers within the ASA.
