Introduction to dental sleep medicine short course

This two-day course is an introduction to dental sleep medicine, designed especially for dentists getting started on their sleep journey. It covers the fundamentals of sleep, and includes in-depth sessions on dental sleep medicine theory and practice.

This course is held in conjunction with Sleep DownUnder, the ASA's annual conference.

Day one is a fascinating survey of all areas of sleep medicine presented by clinicians, academics and researchers. It offers a comprehensive understanding of sleep and sleep disorders relevant to all clinicians working in sleep medicine.

Day two of the course is specifically targeted towards dentists. It will cover dental sleep medicine and will include robust discussion, live demonstrations and lectures on topics including temporomandibular joint disorders and bruxism. Oral appliance use, combined therapy, topics related to device and patient selection, and troubleshooting challenging clinical cases will also be covered.

This course is only available to delegates attending in person at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, and you can register with your Sleep DownUnder registration. Limited spots are available on a first-come first-served basis.
