Virtual attendee: Sleep DownUnder 2021 QCH Paediatric Short Course

Virtual attendee registration page. When ventilation gets challenging in children

This short course will address challenging aspects of ventilatory support in paediatric patients. It will discuss practical considerations, approach to management when ventilation is difficult and considerations when using ventilatory support in children with life-limiting conditions, including the additional ethical challenges that can arise in this situation.

Join this course in person at Queensland Children’s Hospital or online via Zoom (not the main virtual conference platform). Note that you need to register separately for this course via the ASA website. You can’t register through the main conference registration system.

Sessions will be presented by experts in this field, with speakers from both local and overseas centres. Challenging cases will be presented to facilitate discussion and to highlight situations where ventilation may be considered to improve stability and quality of life.
