Diagnosis and treatment of insomnia

This online course outlines a practical approach to assessing and managing insomnia for clinicians, in particular general practitioners. It was created by the Goodfellow Unit in New Zealand with input from the GP Education Subcommittee of the Australasian Sleep Association.

The content has been developed by Dr Karen Falloon, Dr Bruce Arroll and Dr Andrew Veale on behalf of the Goodfellow Unit with input from Dr Alex Bartle and Dr Anna Clarkson.

The General Practice Education Subcommittee of the Australasian Sleep Association (ASA) contributed several of the case studies which were adapted for use and assisted with editing of the toolkit. Members contributing were: Alex Bartle, Delwyn Bartlett, Margot Davey, Karen Falloon, Sally Ferguson, Margaret Hardy, Gillian Nixon, Keith Wong and Alan Young.

The toolkit has been created by the Goodfellow Unit at The University of Auckland. This was funded in part by the Auckland Faculty Board of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
