EOIs for new committee members
The ASA is accepting expressions of interest from members to join the Finance, Research and Membership Committees in 2023.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee makes recommendations to the Board on matters of financial budgeting, income, expenditure and investment of ASA funds. The Finance Committee consists of the Finance Chair, the President of the ASA, President Elect or Immediate Past President and no less than three other ASA members appointed by the committee and confirmed by the ASA Board. The position description articulates the role requirements.
Candidates must be current ASA members, and candidates from New Zealand are particularly encouraged. Prior finance or management experience is helpful but is not essential. The ASA Diversity and Inclusion Policy will be implemented during the decision-making process about who will be invited to join the Committee.

Research Committee
The Research Committee manages and distributes the ASA research awards and makes recommendations to the Board on matters of research and research education. The position description articulates the role requirements.
Candidates must be current ASA members, and we encourage applicants from all disciplines including scientists, nurses and physicians. Candidates from New Zealand are particularly encouraged. The ASA Diversity and Inclusion Policy will be implemented during the decision-making process about who will be invited to join the Committee.
