University of Sydney sleep course
The University of Sydney sleep course, which has been running for more than 30 years, is now available online, and starts23 January 2024.
Fundamentals of sleep medicine (23 January to 6 March 2024)
This 6-week online course, covers all aspects of sleep medicine and technology. Starting with foundation knowledge about normal respiratory and sleep physiology, it will also cover all sleep disorders and their treatment, including practical application of sleep disorders assessment and treatment. You will be taught about current practice in sleep science, as well as introduced to new and exciting advances for the future. This is a great introduction to all aspects of sleep medicine.
The course starts 23 January 2024 and requires about 5-8 hours commitment per week. You can work at your own pace, with some live sessions in the evenings, which are recorded for later viewing.

Optional face-to-face component: Sleep Medicine - Translating theory into practice (Sat 16/Sun 17 March 2024)
Through a series of practical workshops, panel discussions, and interactive activities, the theoretical knowledge gained in the online course will be applied to case studies, sleep study recording and analysis, CPAP usage and NIV treatment. To attend this face to face course, you must have enrolled in the online component (either in 2023 or 2022).
