Contemporary dental sleep medicine - the latest research and innovations

This webinar offers updates on the latest research and innovations to guide all health practitioners on how oral appliance therapy fits within the treatment paradigm for sleep-disordered breathing.

The dental sleep medicine field continues to evolve. The knowledge around the pathophysiology of obstructive sleep-disordered breathing conditions is expanding, along with an emerging understanding of the mechanism of action with oral appliance therapy.

As there have been significant advances in relatively short time periods, this webinar offers updates on the latest research and innovations to guide all health practitioners on how oral appliance therapy fits within the treatment paradigm for sleep-disordered breathing. There will be presentations relating to both the latest in academic/research and to the latest in the practical aspects and implementation of oral appliances to patients in the clinical setting.

Speakers

Dr Adam Teo is the founder and principal dentist of QLD Dental Sleep Therapy, a dental sleep medicine clinic focused on being entrusted by sleep physicians to provide high quality care with oral appliance therapy since 2016. He will be speaking on the latest clinical innovations in oral appliance therapy.

Dr Anna Mohammadieh is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She has recently completed her PhD on the topic of cardiovascular associations of obstructive sleep apnoea. Her clinical interests include the treatment of sleep disorders and respiratory failure. The webinar will be chaired by Dr Dinukshi Daniels, the ASA's Program Manager for the Fellow of Dental Sleep Medicine program.
